How to apply for leave on behalf of employees?If an employee is unable to submit a leave application themselves, you can apply for leave on their behalf through Leave Entry > Deduct Leave. Steps to Apply Leave on Behalf of an Employee: Go to E-Leave > Management. Under Leave Management, select Leave Entry. Choose Deduct Leave, then click New. How to Update Maximum Brought Forward (Max BF)?Maximum Brought Forward (Max BF) refers to the number of unused leave days an employee is allowed to carry forward into the following year. When performing Leave Closing, the Brought Forward (BF) amount cannot exceed the Max BF limit set in the Entitlement Group. If you need to allow more or fewer BF days during Leave Closing, you must update the Max BF setting. Steps to Edit a Leave Type’s Maximum Brought Forward Value: 1. Go to E-Leave > Setting. 2. Under Setting, select Entitlement Group, then click the pencil icon to edit the group. 3. Click the pencil icon next to Limited Leave. 4. Click the pencil icon beside the Leave Type you want to modify. 5. Update the BF Days under the leave type settings, then click Update. 6. Click Save once all changes are made. 7. How to cancel an approved past date leave?If an employee was present at work despite having an approved leave—whether the leave was applied via ESS (Employee Self Service), uploaded through Excel Import, or recorded earlier—you may cancel the leave to ensure accurate leave balances and payroll calculations at Leave Transaction. Note: Leave applied on behalf of an employee via Leave Entry > Deduct Leave must be cancelled by deleting the record directly from the Leave Entry page. Steps to Cancel an Approved Past Date Leave applied: Go to E-Leave > Management. Under Leave Management, select Leave Transaction. Apply filters by Employee or Leave Type if required and select the Year using the calendar icon. Click Search. Click the Cross (✕) icon next to the approved leave record. Tick the leave date(s) to be cancelled and enter a cancellation reason if any. Click Cancel Selected Leave(s), then click Yes to confirm. What is the difference between Leave Entry and Leave Credit?Leave Entry and Leave Credit are two different functions in the E-Leave module. Both allow employers to adjust employees’ leave balances, but they serve different purposes. Leave Entry Used to adjust leave without an expiry date: Append Leave – Increases or adjusts an employee’s leave entitlement. The adjustment is reflected under the Leave Balance – Entitled column. Deduct Leave – Reduces an employee’s accrued or entitled leave. The adjustment is reflected under the Leave Balance – Taken column. Leave Credit Used to grant additional leave with an expiry date: Leave granted through Leave Credit must be used before the specified expiry date. How to bring forward leave balance to another year?You can bring forward an employee’s remaining leave balance to the following year during the Leave Closing process. Steps to Bring Forward Leave Balance: Go to E-Leave > Management. Under Leave Management, select Leave Closing, then click New. Select the Year and enter a Description. Clear off any Pending Leave(s). At the Leave Cutoff Data, enter the amount of BF leave. Click Save. For detailed explanations, refer to Leave Closing.
